The wait is over… the NKOTBSB supergroup formed by pop legends New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys will bring their first-ever combined tour to the UK later this month.

The shows will provide a must-see concert experience for UK fans, and features a unique stage design that gives every fan an up-close experience.

A huge success in the U.S, the tour has received rave reviews, with the Boston Herald claiming that it is ‘proof good pop songs never age,’ and the US Metro stating: ‘NKOTBSB still have the right stuff’.

New Kids On the Block och Backstreet Boys är två av världens största pojkband. Nu ska deras comeback-konsert sändas på 30 svenska biografer.

De två amerikanska grupperna personifierar 90-talets stora popfenomen pojkbandet, med stämsång, synkroniserad dans och radiovänliga hits som “As Long as You Love Me”, “Everybody” (BSB) och “Step By Step” (NKOTB).

Nu har banden slagit sig samman för en comeback, runt tjugo år efter glansdagarna. När den nya konstellationen NKOTBSB uppträder på O2 Arena i London den 29 april, visas den direktsända konserten i 30 olika Folkets Hus och Parker-salonger, på nästan lika många svenska orter.

AMERICAN boys band New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys are to play LG Arena on April 27 – and you could be there.

The Observer has two pairs of tickets to giveaway for the hottest night out in 2012 when two of the greatest boy bands in history sing together on one stage.

With over 200 million albums sold between them, and smash hit after smash hit, these two pop sensations have dominated the music scene for over three decades.

And they shocked and delighted fans when they took the stage together for a medley at the sold out NKOTB Radio City Music Hall show in June 2010 before wowed audiences again in their first joint televised performance at the American Music Awards later the same year.

They toured America together in 2011 and are currently preparing to bring their joint show to the UK for an eight-date tour, starting in Belfast on April 20.

[ NKOTBSB ] NKOTBSB Coming to Jakarta

Do you remember the 80s boyband called New Kids On The Block? A group from Boston that was formed by Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Danny Wood and Joe McIntyre, hit the big lights with the massive success of their album Hangin’ Tough that was released in 1988. Since then NKOTB became the benchmark for high quality boyband music and they performed in Jakarta just a few years ago.

Meanwhile, the Backstreet Boys (BSB) come from the next generation of boy band which has also achieved a fair bit of tween super stardom. Both bands have been kicking back for some time but have finally come back and have made a major breakthrough by joining both groups together. They are now called NKOTBSB. These two different generation boy bands will perform at Jakarta on June 1 at MEIS, Ancol.

A Cambridge marketing firm specialising in the music industry is helping to promote an historic venture for New Kids on the Block and The Backstreet Boys.

An April 29 live show at the London’s O2 Arena featuring two of the biggest pop bands of the last 20 years will make history with a movie cast live to cinemas across Europe.

Quite Great in Cambridge UK, which is helping to market the enterprise, said the groundbreaking show will see a pan-European satellite feed via a high definition live cinema cast, direct from the 02 Arena to fans watching the show in over 300 hundred cinemas in UK & Ireland, Germany, Austria, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

A spokesperson for Quite Great PR told Business Weekly: “This landmark live cinema cast looks set to revolutionise the live experience for music fans and at the same time develop a whole new cinematic experience which will help increase not just the impact for artists of their live shows, but also increase cinema attendances.”

The show will be distributed to cinemas by Myscreenevent.com using HD camera technology from The O2 and state of the art 5.1 surround sound to give the fans watching in cinemas a feeling of event participation as close to being in the venue as is possible with the cutting edge tools at their disposal.

Myscreenevent.com are pioneers in the field of digital cinema and to date have been involved in a diverse range of streaming from sports and documentaries to classical music.

Reunited former boy bands New Kids On The Block and the Backstreet Boys are to make history by broadcasting a live concert in more than 300 cinemas across Europe.

Their joint show at London’s O2 Arena later this month will be transmitted via a satellite feed to theatres in countries including Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia.

Organisers will use state-of-the-art high definition cameras and 5.1 surround sound to recreate the full concert experience for fans in cinemas thousands of miles away.
