Cases of boyband fever will likely rise in Jakarta in 2012, as New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) and the Backstreet Boys have confirmed a gig in the capital city.

“Who’s coming to see NKOTBSB in Jakarta, Indonesia? It’s gonna be a party!” a post on the Backstreet Boys’ Twitter feed said on Thursday.

According to New Kids on the Block’s official website, nkotb.com, the band would perform at Mata Elang International Stadium in North Jakarta on June 1.

“Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 23,” the website read without further elaboration. (swd)
