The April 29th live O2 show featuring two of the biggest pop bands of the last 20 years, New Kids on the Block and The Backstreet Boys, will set yet another milestone.

After the announcement of the cinema cast live to cinemas across Europe earlier this month, the bands were inundated with fan inquiries from all over the world, all wondering why the show could not be brought to a theatre in their city.

Overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of their fans, NKOTBSB are proud to announce that their April 29th live show can now be watched by everyone around the globe thanks to an exclusive live stream, which will be made available on the band’s Facebook pages. The ticket to watch the live stream costs $4.99.

Livebeats, the company co-producing the event with ABC Entertainment, will provide the player, which will deliver an uninterrupted HD signal in a quality not seen before. The ticket to watch the show can conveniently be purchased in the player itself.

Coachella, roll over.

Hershey is playing host to a two-day mainstream version of the three-day indie music festival.

New Kids on the Block and Kelly Clarkson announced today they will perform at the Summer Mixtape Fest 2012 on Aug. 17 and 18 at Hersheypark Stadium.

Clarkson and NKOTB will appear on the first day, along with The Fray, DJ Pauly D and Steel Panthers. It will be NKOTB’s only North American performance this year.

On the second day, NKOTB will join with the Backstreet Boys to perform as NKOTBSB. The Aug. 18 concert will be the last scheduled joint appearance of the bands, according to the Mixtape website.

Wisst Ihr noch damals? Mitte der 80er Jahre – da verdrehten fünf Jungs aus Boston, Massachusetts Millionen Mädchen den Kopf. Die Rede ist von New Kids on the Block (NKOTB). Ein paar Jährchen später traten die Backstreet Boys (BSB) in die Fußstapfen der Pop Phänomene und wurden mit weltweit mehr als 100 Millionen verkauften CDs zur erfolgreichsten Boygroup der Welt.

Dann gab’s Trennungen, Tränen und mittlerweile sind beide Bands wiedervereinigt – allerdings mit mäßigem Erfolg. Das soll sich jetzt ändern, denn beide Bands haben sich zu einer Art „Super-Boygroup“ zusammengeschlossen und treten am 29. April unter dem Namen „NKOTBSB“ in Londoner O2 Arena auf. Los geht’s um 21 Uhr. Leider können wir Euch nicht nach London schicken, aber es besteht trotzdem die Möglichkeit dieses Konzert auf einmalige Art und Weise mitzuerleben. Via Satellit wird das Konzert im Cinemaxx Bremen live übertragen. So könnt Ihr „NKOTBSB“ dank Dolby Surround und großer Leinwand hautnah erleben.

Während der zweistündigen Bühnenshow der beiden Supergruppen präsentieren die Bands sowohl ihre eigenen Hits wie “Step by Step” oder “Quit Playing Games With My Heart”, als auch gemeinsame Songs. NKOTBSB: New Kids On The Block und Backstreet Boys treten gemeinsam auf New Kids On The Block und die Backstreet Boys gemeinsam auf Tournee. Ein grosses Ereignis für die Fans der beiden legendären ehemaligen Boygroups.

Der Ursprung der Idee geht zurück auf jenen «schicksalhaften» Abend im Rahmen der CasiNO-Tournee von NKOTB im vergangenen Jahr in der Radio City Music Hall in New York City, als die Backstreet Boys lediglich als «Gäste» auftraten. Doch der Publikumszuspruch war so gross, dass aus diesem kleinen Auftritt ein grossartiges musikalisches Projekt entstanden ist.

New Kids On The Block & Backstreet Boys ? zusammen haben sie ungefähr 200 Millionen Alben verkauft und unzählige grosse Hits gefeiert. Nun bringen die beiden Bands ihre erfolgreiche Tournee endlich nach Europa, um den hiesigen Fans eine Show zu bieten, die vom «OK! Magazine» als «eines der heissesten Konzerttickets des Sommers» gehandelt wurde.

We have some huge news to share with you!

When we were planning out 2012 and realized we would not be going on a North American Tour, we started looking for just the right event to add to our schedule instead. Then, the stars aligned. We were approached with the idea to be involved in a one-of-a-kind pop music festival that was shaping up in Hersheypark, PA. THIS was the event we had been searching for!

We know many of you were hoping for a Blockstock, but nooo…..This is MUCH! BIGGER!!!!!! More artists! More events! More fun! More chances to party and hang with us in the ways that you always love to, and in new ways that were never before possible! It’s not just OUR festival, but it’s going to be YOUR festival! This sure-to-be legendary event is going to go down in the history books, and we are thrilled and honored to be a part of it!
